An award winning winemaker and a leader in the Women Owned Winery Movement, Nicole has over 25 years of winemaking and grape growing experience. Known for her collaborations with local chefs, artists and women led organizations, Nicole is passionate about sharing wine as a way of forging community. Together Nicole and Chrissy Metz define, craft, and expertly blend the wines for Joyful Heart Wine Company.
At Joyful Heart, Nicole's driving passion is to create wines that authentically reflect their terroir. Her commitment to showcasing the unique characteristics of each vineyard site shines through in every bottle, making Joyful Heart wines a true embodiment of their origins.

With an impressive 23 vintages under her belt, Nicole Walsh stands out as a distinguished winemaker. Her Journey spans nearly two decades of crafting exceptional wines in both California and New Zealand. Notably, she honed her craft as a winemaker and vintner for the Iconic Bonny Doon Vineyard and Churton Wines in Marlborough.
Nicole's talent is evident in her impressive portfolio, which boasts an abundance of 90+ scores from wine critics. She is also a respected leader in the Women-Owned Wineries Movement, demonstrating her dedication to inclusivity and diversity within the wine industry.
